Tools
for Flip-Top Closures:
These
tools may or may not feature in-mould closing devices, and they
may produce closures with any one of a number of different types
of hinges, most of them with toggle action. We are also often involved
in the design and development of the closures themselves.

Unscrewing
Tools for Screw Caps:
We
have been well known in Australia and overseas for various types
of highly refined and reliable unscrewing mechanisms to produce
screw caps. According to customer requirements, these tools may
be operated by racks, hydraulic motors or helical screw devices.

|
| We
also offer unscrewing unit tools (or bolsters) in different cavitations
(4, 6, 8, 12, 16 and 32), and with different runner systems (sub gate, centre
gate or hot runner). These bolsters accept interchangeable sets of inserts
for the production of a wide range of screw caps. Once the bolster is purchased,
only the inserts need to be made for the production of a new closure. This
way, both tooling cost and lead time can be significantly reduced. In many
cases these inserts are "portable" from one moulder to the other as there
are a large number of them in operation. |

Hot
Runner Tools:
These
systems are gaining momentum as the advantages offered by them have
started outweighing their inherently higher cost. We have had experience
with the application of many systems available in Australia. We
have also developed our own very efficient balanced manifold block that is
so often the key to the overall performance of the system.

Tools
for Tamper Evident and/or Child Resistant Closures:
Due to either market demand or legislation or both, tamper evident
closures have been widely used in the past 5 to 7 years. We have
built tools for most types of these closures including ones with
2 or 3 way split insert operation, or as is the case with the "Milk"
cap, a tamper evident ring in the line of draw.
